Welcome
The Stables Studio Art Centre is situated in refurbished stables and barns in the grounds of a 16th century country house, Pouchen End Hall, near Berkhamsted and Hemel Hempstead, in Hertfordshire.
Studios
We have 8 newly refurbished art studios, with all amenities, which are rented out to professional artists, and 2 large studios (The Dutch Barn and The Corner Studio) which are used for classes and courses.
Art School
The Art School is situated in two large teaching Studios and consists of Adult and Children’s Classes and Courses.
For Children:
• We run a Saturday morning Art Club for 6 – 11 year olds,
• Half term & Holiday Children’s art lessons.
• And Art parties.
For Adults we have:
• Painting
• Life Drawing (tutored & Untutored)
• Pastel workshops
• Clay Maquette Sculpture
• Evening Presentations
• Collograph printing
• Encaustic Wax lessons
• Colour Theory workshop
• Raku Figure sculpture
